Iceberg is part of the Gilmar Group. The Gilmar Group is a collection of designer names, formed in 1962 in northern Italy. Nowadays, Gilmar designs promotes and distributes the brands: Ice Jeans, Iceberg, Block60 and Iceberg History.

Iceberg was devised by Silvio and Giuliana Gerani. Initially they produced only knitwear but has since branched out into the general garment market.

Seasonal collections are shown in Milan. Their product line besides apparel, includes neckties, leather items like handbags as well as perfumes. Their distribution outlets can be found worldwide, including the USA, Europe and Eastern countries. Today their son Paolo Gerani looks after management and finance, and their daughter Patrizia is the Creative Director for fashion design. They also have a home products line
